Summer Break is OVER
This has been the busiest summer of our lives.
We have been all across North America (from Texas to Alaska, from Mexico to Washington State, from New York to Nevada and up and down California). We have been to three weddings, a family reunion, a bridal shower, a bachelor party, a freshman dorm (Cal) reunion, a bachelor/bachelorette party, a weeklong family cruise. . . . I am sure I am forgetting something! Our cruise to Alaska was by far the most beautiful and a true highlight of the summer. Here is a little wave from one of our friends (10 feet away) that we saw in the waters just off the coast of Juneau. Amazing!

In addition to our intense travel schedule, I have been in the process of looking for new gainful employment as my tenure at DLA Piper Rudnick Gray Cary US LLP came to an end as of September 1st. All things must come to an end. In due time, something new will present itself! If any of you have any brilliant ideas, pass them along to my new email address - evansorem@san.rr.com. If something does not work out, does anyone have a couch that a family of four can sleep on??
To top off our crazy summer, I had sinus surgery (bilateral endoscopic sinus surgery, bilateral turbinate surgery and a septoplasty) on August 28th. Basically a complete cleanout of the sinuses and a straightening of my septum! To say it hurt is a major understatement. But I am a pretty big wimp.
We have been out of touch on the blog front for some time due to these and many other happenings. Suffice it to say that there is a lot of updating that needs to be done. Hopefully the next several months will afford me the time to update. I have twelve events to share. If I am lucky I will get through half of them!
We are not alone in our blogging hiatus. But rest assured, we are back. Our crazy summer has ended!
Better than being back is starting something new! The best man in Robin and my wedding, Carl Alberola, has started his very own blog. As with all things Carl, it is a work of art. Click here to check it out or just go to
